Need some help here folks. As a senior engineer, with similar tc (~430k), which company is a better choice? Considering career growth, brand prestige, stock, wlb, perks etc. Please leave your comments for reasons. Appreciate it! #tech #twitter #dropbox #engineering #career
Twitter def has bigger market and higher potential upside.
This is an easy one. Dropbox has fallen so far.
L6 at Twitter? What's the breakdown
I've got great WLB at Twitter. It does seem like there's a lot of growth potential for Twitter.
What's wrong w dropbox?
Haters š Weāre still shedding the reputation of āfile storage onlyā. Twitter definitely has a larger market cap so if thatās how you define success then definitely Twitter wins. Iāve heard itās great there in terms of WLB, perks, etc similar to us in many ways. I definitely think Dropbox has more upside potential (bc how much lower can our stock really go?) and thereās a ton of evolution on the horizon which is very promising. Not sure what growth at Twitter equates to. Not that they couldnāt, I just have no idea how they would evolve. I prefer not to work at a social media company for my own reasons so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
How low can a stock really go? Donāt tempt fate.
Biased opinion n have no opinion for Twitter but absolutely love it here at Dropbox. Much better than (G and Amzn)
Amazon is a shitty place. I can absolutely second that. If I have a friend, I will tell him keep away, if I have an enemy, I will say otherwise
TBH I didnāt hate it at Amazon n felt that I learned a lot there (more than G for sure) but the pay was š„ Now they have started paying well since no one wants to join Amazon š¤£
Dropbox is a great brand in tech and a dying brand outside of tech, Twitter is a great brand both in and outside of tech.
Which city?
SF or Seattle, doesnāt matter. They both fully remote now
But I guess your TC will depend on your location, right? So is 430 for Seattle or Bay?
