If you don't think that Twitter will remain an open platform for people in power/bots just because Elon is here, I got bad news for you. Same sh*t, different consistency. Censorship is not just about banning people. It's about who gets visibility, and that goes both ways (limiting the visibility of some while promoting the visibility of others). At best, Twitter will remain the same shit it's always been as long as it's a social media platform.
Whoa, whoa, this is Blind. Do you really think the goobers on here are gonna stop eating crayons for a minute to read and comprehend your post?
There is always a limit for everything including free speech. Will Twitter allow NZ mosque shooter to live telecast the shooting? There is a difference between free speech and hate speech. There will always be censorship otherwise Twitter will become 4chan.
What's the line between hate speech and free speech? If that's the only line being moved a bit around, nothing is actually different. Without censorship, Twitter will become pol with dumb boomers, have extremely rampant disinformation, and much wider societal reach. Minus the irony and reactionary edginess. People say that's what they want, and some people might genuinely enjoy it. But no sane person actually thinks thats good for society at large. And if there is censorship still there, again, it will be the same shit, different flavor.
There is no “hate speech”. It’s a term invented by leftists to ban free speech. Certain speech is illegal, like calls to direct actions of violence. Hate isn’t illegal.

Why no one cares about the lives lost in Gaza, Israel and busy in their own lives?
At least, it won’t be banning legit stories to openly support one side? May it’ll but who knows.
humans are terrible at parsing what is true and what isnt. with or without censorship you will have legitimate stories being buried. Would you rather have outright censorship to guide a narrative or so much disinformation that you don't know whats real or not anymore? kinda a lose lose situation, and something that won't improve no matter who's running Twitter. The only thing that changes is people's feelings about what is happening through the lens of their confirmation biases.
