I recently applied to Two Sigma on a whim. I was expecting to be ghosted or flat out rejected. To my surprise, I got an invite two days later to do their hackerrank... which I’m probably going to fail. Just wondering if anyone experienced the same thing or I’ve finally did something right with my resume? Also be helpful if anyone can give me tips on preparing for the hackerrank? #software #engineering #twosigma #hackerrank
Yes what @hostelfood said. Gave the hackerrank this year. Solved both the questions. Mediums. But got a reject even though they passed all test cases. Maybe you need to be quite quick as well..like 30 mins for both. I took an hour due to my unfamiliarity with hackerrank and nerves.
I asked for telephonic interview in place of hacker rank and they did that. I got Onsite but they screwed me big time in Onsite interview.
I didn’t know you can replace hackerrank with phone interviews - that’s good know! I’ve heard their on-site interviews are very difficult
it was like 3 years ago, maybe process changed, as they kind of gave me an option.
Thank you for sharing @hostelfood and @Wlbz08! I don’t have high hopes for it haha I’m planning to take this as a learning experience
I took their new grad hackerrank and got a reject. Had some TLEs in some test cases. You need to code quickly and have efficient solutions.
What were the questions like? Were they from Leetcode?
They give the hacker rank to everyone.
leetcode medium-hard hard
I gave their hackerrank challenge 3 years back when I was still in school for an internship position. Don't remember the exact question, but I remember solving the entire thing and still getting a reject
