My friend is going to be interning at Two Sigma this summer as SWE and he was wondering what the intern -> full time return offer rate is like. Are expectations for interns really high here? Any advice on getting a return offer? #twosigma
It’s pretty high. As long as you somehow finish the intern project, it’s highly likely to get a conversion offer
Deliver your project. Be nice. 80% of interns get return offer.
The bar is quite high to get the intern offer in the first place and we get a lot of applicants, so most of the interns end up being good. As far as I’ve seen if a team is happy with an intern there’s no problem in giving a return.
I’m surprised we still have interns this year when there’s literally no headcount and a huge backlog of candidates waiting for team match
dang fr? Any signs of it improving?
Is this expected to affect return offer rate?
Extremely high. Just do well, complete the project, present it well and they’ll get a return offer
Getting an intern offer is much more difficult than getting a return offer.
It is unconditionally more difficult
Very high unless you are super incompetent or even worse are a jerk.
