I have two job offers from Google and Apple. Google is what I know for many years and is all my network. Apple is exciting but different culture. I’m still negotiating Google offer but Apple is a final one with a soon expiring deadline. I feel too out of character to sign Apple, have it secured and keep negotiating with Google (get a better one and then decline Apple). But all my friends tell me to do this. Is this a norm? Clarification: my question is if this is a norm: signing an offer and then decline it! 10 YOE Both comp $450k

Go to Apple
Apple
Go to Google. You know the culture, Apple will be suffocating for you
Is that average comp or front loaded? Also, make it a poll.
Voting Apple for job security
I always suggest to stay put if you don’t have a clear need to move.
It depends on what you crave for. A different experience that may be better or may be worse? Stability and predictability? I probably would choose Apple just because I'm always itching for new experiences.
I would move to Apple.
