Two week notice period
I will be resigning Microsoft on May 18. They will mostly walk me out same day as I will be joining faang. Would we get 2 weeks notice period payment or they stop paying salary immediately?
2 weeks after you start new job.
If your manager is competent, they will know not to explicitly ask you about your new company. This is to avoid setting things in motion.
Don’t tell them where you are going.
I’d think you would want to be walked out. When I left MSFT last July they walked me out the next day and paid me for my two-week notice period. Told them I was going to Google. Microsoft insurance ends at the end of your two week period too.
I don’t understand. What problem do they have with faang that they have to walk you out so soon?
They are competitors. If you’re going to a competitor, you are a security risk
Why would they walk you out? Why do you have to tell them where you are going.
