Leaving my (god awful) job for much greener pastures, only putting in two weeks because I have a decent relationship with my manager. To be honest, I just don’t find it necessary to print a letter of resignation and hand it to them in person. Plus, having it in writing before all else may eliminate any he-said she-said from becoming a problem. What do you guys think? Current TC: ~92k YOE: 0.5
Hand deliver lol wtf. Tell them on zoom
Every time I’ve resigned, they ask me to write a formal email to HR, so you’re probably going to have to write one anyway
The day I was putting in my 2 weeks notice, my manager was super busy and kept pushing the meeting later and later until it was the end of the day, so I just sent him a message starting that I'm quitting, and emailed him (and Hr) my resignation.
Formal email should suffice.
I’ve always heard to do it in person/on zoom/on the phone and THEN send them an email (“as we discussed on the phone, I am giving two weeks notice”)
