What do most people strive for when they join the company? Is it like investment banking where people are shooting to make managing directly some day or IC leveling up and increasing comp / responsibility? I know they are known for their retention, do people leave to FANG or quant/HFT? Thanks! TC: 300k YOE: 4
Both tracks are supposedly fully supported (the company says you don’t need to think you have to move to management to advance if you want to be an IC, as there are parallel levels for both classifications). I know many people that have come from or gone to Amazon, FB, other funds, etc.

Don’t be afraid to be honest with your manager about your career goals and compensation goals. Talking about them and working together to get opportunities to reach them is the only way forward. If your manager doesn’t care or doesn’t help, try to transfer to a team with a better manager.
