Wells Fargo vs Goldman TC
Current GS pay is approx 180k base + 100k bonus + 10k stocks (4yr vest). So a total of approx 300k, which we call PATC. Year over year TC change is a percentage change of this total PATC. What's the TC in Wells Fargo like? How good are the bonuses for senior engineering managers (15 yoe)? How is the TC structure at Wells? #wellsfargo
Op - which location are you in ? In GS, equity after a certain number depends on the office / city you are in.
Do you already have an offer ? Eager to hear how wells pays .. I know they are in NC and so the pay there will be lesser compared to NY salary if you are in NY.
FYI not very great pay wise, lot of time they don’t even offer relocations.
Relo package at Wells near impossible to get unless director or exec. Ask for more starting salary instead.
Summary: likely will get more salary at WFC, same stock, but less bonus Details: Snr mgr TVC target is 30 or 40% of base. I am not sure of salary for that role but likely 2-250. TVC is bonus plus stock. If TVC <50k it is all cash. If it is 50 then 40 cash and 10 four year vesting. Up to about 150k TVC is 20% equity, 80% cash. So 150 would yield about 30 equity and 120 cash. If you got a strong offer of 250 k you could try for 150k TVC but unlikely. To be safe if say 200k salary plus 30% TVC which would be ~50 cash and 10 equity. So that is the min. Max is 250 + ~80k cash bonus and 20k stock. Above based on lcol. If hcol then add 20%. TVC = Total Variable Compensation
So you’re saying a senior tech manager gets minimum 312k TC in HCOL? What about a specialty engineering manager.
Pinchharm, that was my best guess. If you know the title names pre new job architecture for both I can get much closer across geographies which includes stock and bonus. I have a file.
What is the location. The base high goes up to 300k but bonus generally is what is mentioned in one of above post.
