When I was searching about the UberStar Internship Interview I didn't see anything about the process. So, thats why I'm sharing my experience for other people searching like me to see. Applied on August 14 in their webpage. Heard back on August 31 (2 weeks later) with a questionarie that requested your available dates, your graduation date, which team do you want to be in (in order or preference), etc. I received an email about the scheduled interview, it included a link to codesignal and zoom. Also a prep pack for the interview (Which I think is general for every full time role at uber). The first interview (technical) was on september 23. (10 mins) -Introductions and resume review- The interviewer was a product manager, he told me the interview agenda and then I introduced myself, later him. He asked me some questions about my resume (Level of profficience, what did I do at my last job, where I learn the programming languages, etc.) and asked me what I think is the most difficult thing about coding, etc. (45 mins) -Coding Assessment- I entered to the codesignal link (There was nothing there). The interviewer pasted a comment that described the problem. And then he told me to analize the problem and then got into the code. I stated to him the problem, asked clarifying questions and explained to him how it works in the example that the problem gave. Later I began to code the solution and explaining while I was doing it (there was sometimes that I didn't say anything because my mind was in blank). After a time, I said to him that I was stuck, but explained him what I would do to solve the problem (He agreed that what I explained to him was the solution). Minutes passed, I did some advances, but I didn't solved the problem in code yet. I was struggling to concentrate because the time was running out. (5 minutes) -Q&A- He told me that it looked like I'm almost getting to the solution. Then asked me if I have any questions while I finish. I asked him about his day to day work, how he started and what skills he considers essential. After that, the time ran out; I didn't solve the coding solution. He thanked me for my time and wished me luck. So yeah, that was the interview. Did I pass the interview? I'm not sure, I mean I knew what to do to get to the solution. But didn't finished the coding part. So, Im hoping that not finishing the coding part at 100% doesn't determine if I passed or not. This was my experience, I'll add what happened next when Uber emails me. I would like to hear other experiences as well. Update: I didn't pass the Interview, I entered to Uber Dashboard on sept 23 and the status was not selected, they didn't send a rejection letter. #tech #uber

I interview for Uber star I would of passed you if I was your interviewer. For Uber star it's common to pass people who never solved the problem. We look more for communication skills, having some basic programming skills and their motivation level.
Can you refer to Uber, would help a lot.
It’s not necessary to write down the entire solution. If you did a good job explaining your solution then you have a good chance. Source: ex-Uber
Guess they did need to write the entire solution.
Update: I didn't pass the Interview, I entered to Uber Dashboard today (sept 23), they didn't send a rejection letter.
Thanks for sharing but im guessing that most of the ppl applying to uberstar are not yet on blind lol. Put this on reddit for better reach if u haven’t already :)
Thank you. I will post it there as well.
