1. What will be the basepay for application engineer 2. What will the background verification process? 3. Do they go for h1b premium processing ?
Background verification involves previous employment verification? Do I need to inform my employer that I got an offer?
You don’t have to! Let Discover do its job. Guess they would have asked you if it’s ok for them to contact your current employer/ supervisor and you can say no. There are other ways to do the background check for your current job and you should be good! Congratulations on the offer btw!
Thank you!
You don’t wanna ask your recruiter? Did they ghost you ?
Do you guys know how flexible discover is in terms of location? Can I work from Phoenix discover office instead of Chicago ?
If you live within 70 miles of the Riverwoods office, you are expected in the Riverwoods office 3 days per week. The other “office” locations are customer care centers that support call centers. If you’re outside the 70 mile range then you’re remote.
Thank you. Are discover open to remote ? Or it’s more of team dependent? Especially DS roles .
When I was at discover they fingerprinted me in addition to the background check. That was 15 years ago though
It’s the same now.
Ask for $125,000 for PG7 which is your role.
125 is too low I was at 140k at application engineer level
That’s where the PG7 range is $86,500-$146,100. $140k is probably the max they’d hire at.
Op what did you get for whiteboardinf interview
Recently got an offer from them 1. 115k 2. Just regular like any other organization 3. Yes
YOE?
