Hopefully joining #Salesforce soon in #Bellevue in engineering. Wondering what perks does they offer? 1. Is unlimited PTO really unlimited? Do you practically see people taking 15 days every 3 months for example? 2. How bad is oncall? 3. Other than base + bonus+ rsu do they give spot awards etc easily? 4. How about team lunches? Is it on a cycle that needs to be done once in a while? 5. Is there any annual summit or event where people fly to a hq or other place and attend conventions etc? Some perks i know 1. Iphone13 (hardly matters to me though) 2. 250 + 200 WFH setup 3. 0 cost health insurance 4. ESPP 5. Decent 401k 6. $100 monthly wellness allowance Having spent a lot of time at Amazon I do like to work, and work smart. I can't see myself slacking unlimited in a extremely boring work. Wondering if the work culture is so horrible that even if you start working normally(~40 hours/week) will your teammates start getting insecure? (don't want to be the Amazon guy who will spoil the culture). 8yoe 250 #salesforce #tableau #microsoft #slack #mulesoft #twitter #meta #apple #instagram #pinterest
Welcome to SF. We also have 1 day off per month (wellness day off). If you are wfh, you may be able to reimburse $50 internet fee per month. Op, what is your TC breakdown?
much less than you bro! :)
Depends… Are you joining core teams or non-core?
I worked there for 5 years in a non tech role in SF. I can answer, some but not all of your questions. 1. It depends on the team, but loved unaccrued PTO and used it. 2. No idea 3. Spot bonuses are a thing but rare in non tech. Not sure about tech. 4. Once in a while for my team. Snacks in SF were solid, but not FAANG level. 5. Not really. You might be able to make a case for Dreamforce, but travel budgets were usually locked down for non sales. Other perks: you get a few weeks of paid volunteer time off. So if you want to take a day off to help with your kid’s field trip, I think you can use it for things like that. Also the ESPP is fantastic so definitely take advantage of it. Salesforce is a great company, so good luck!
1. Depends on manager but generally it’s not really unlimited. People take anywhere between 15-30 business days a year with 20-25 being the norm. However this gets offset by great wlb in that you wont need to take many more days off. 2. Really depends on team but ive found salesforce tech to be outdated so there is busy work. 3. Not really. Once a year of at most 10k if you’re lucky. 4. No. Budgets are cut now, but even when they werent cut, we’d get team lunches once a quarter with not that much to spend on.(25-35 per person) 5. No Note: 0 cost health insurance has pretty bad terms imo, so i never picked that. They pay your mobile plan. Mega backdoor roth and 12 free lyra therapy sessions.
care to elaborate on 0 cost health insurance. I understand it is basically good if you end up not using healthcare services vs the standard high deductible plan? salesforce essentially is paying for the premium instead of paying for the deductible later. In terms of care seems like plan is same. curious what did you find different
10 k is awesome. we get $0 coupons at amazon for doing our work. maybe a virtual phonetool icon.
