Recently finished an onsite for Uber and wanted to see how folks feel about my chances of getting an L4 offer Round 1 Coding - Medium leetcode. Got to working solution with 8/8 passing test cases with a little help from interviewer Round 2 problem solving - Medium. Got to working solution with help as well Round 3 system design - did good on this Round. Interviewer was happy with the design Round 4 HM - did really well. YOE 3 TC 130 #engineering #software #swe #uber #offer
What is round 2 machine?
Just another round of leetcode style questions
Can you share more about this round? I have an interview scheduled on Monday and don't know what is this round about.
Uber is bleeding through attrition. You’ll likely get an offer.
Why is that? Out of curiosity. Interviewing there too, a little naive but getting sense that Uber is not good
Not really. I narrowly missed out on a role few months ago. It’s still open. The recruiter specifically mentioned in the rejection call we will continue with the search instead of the regular we r going another candidate who matches our requirements lol. They r a picky bunch cause they pay high. But in this case op looks like they did good and most probably will get a offer.
For 8/8 test cases did you come up with yourself or did the interviewer give them to you?
It was the test cases came with the prompt pasted in codesignal
Oh they use code signal even in final rounds? Not a whiteboard type?
No bar raiser round?
No. Is it a bad sign ?
I think so. BR is a compulsory round I guess.
i have conducted multiple interviews at uber, seen cadidates who did ok got offer and candidates who did very well way better than me but cocky, failed. so it is not about solution it is about how you approached to solve. my observation if interviewer is in his early stage of career, s/he wants from u clean and working solution and straight answers. seniors on the other had eval you how you approach and how you solve it. best of luck though
Op, did they ask dp? Like with trees and graphs?
No dp in my 2 rounds
But there were problems related to trees and graphs?
Can you share the questions asked in the system design round?
for new grad, they ask for object oriented API design of common productivity applications like google sheets.
Thanks for sharing
Did you get an offer?
What to expect in Uber 1 hour call with recruiter ?
Ask for 350k tc
😔
Solving Uber tagged LC is enough to crack coding?
