UBER eats 3 sides and some fries?

Uber eats and similar apps takes bite from customer by charging service fees, they take some money from restaurant and i wouldnt be surprised if they also take commission from drivers. Its sad a sandwich which should charge $7, now charges $13. Bad thing is for folks who dont want to use such apps also get affected as restaurants raise the prices to pay Big Boss Uber as it takes lion share of order amount from restaurant owners. Disgusted at where our economy is going, latest Uber is blackmailing California State to do what they like else they'll shut the service. Boycotting such service is the way

Rich, coming from Amazon. If you don’t like the cost of the service, then don’t use it. Restaurants tend to have different prices for app-based-delivery vs ordering there anyway. On second thought, please spend more money on Eats. I could use a stock bump.

Read again. It inflates prices for non users as well as restaurants in order to keep up with horrendous fees Jack up prices of their food.

You’re looking at one capitalistic company in a microscope, do this for any company and you’ll always find something. Capitalism is evil

Pushing a button, ordering food, and having someone deliver it to you while your lazy ass sits at home COSTS MONEY.

I don't use it but ripple effect of uber impacting non users

Even if you don’t use it, if a restaurant sells a dish for $15, it doesn’t seem far fetched that the same dish might cost you $19 when factoring in that someone is going to the restaurant and picking it up, driving it to you (gas costs money), and dropping it off your doorstep. The $7 example is bad because low cost orders always have higher delivery charges (Amazon gives free shipping to a $35 order but not a $7 order). If the business was really exploiting everyone, they would be out of business. But this business model is proving valuable because it helps three segments (consumers who want food, restaurants who need to sell food to a bigger audience, and drivers who want to earn income on the side).

You make it sounds like Uber is making a killing with food delivery.
