UBS Software Engineer Interview
Hey guys, I have an interview coming up for UBS and just wanted to know what it’s going to be like. How many rounds there are? Is there going to be live coding? And if so what can I expect? This is the first interview after the Hackerrank challenge which happened prolly 5 or 6 weeks ago at this point. HR has been very unresponsive and I haven’t been able to find much info about the process online. Thank you! #tech #ubs

Interesting experience. Is the one you are applying for an AO or AD role?
It should just be for a Java developer position based on the job posting. I honestly have no idea what those acronyms mean.
Hmm. AO - Authorized Officer. AD - Associate Director. Depending YOE and remit, a Java developer could be either.
Go for AD role, otherwise you would spend years without promotion and with the AO salary cap… While the duties for most of the part are the same, the AD role has a higher cap for the salary.

Short answer is it depends. A new process is being piloted with automated Hacker rank assessments, but it has not been widely adopted yet. You may also be doing a technical interview using Hacker rank code pair. What group are you interviewing with? And what Rank?
