I started investing in Lending Club in 2013. I had 10k and my total was about 45k in investment by 2015. Now my Adjusted Net Annualized Return is -1.26%. Had I invested those 45k in FAANG thats easy 100K. Never invest in lending club.
I’ve never seen anyone complain about making money... until now.
No issues either, have been investing for the last several years in A,B&C grade notes. My average return has been 5-6%. Not amazing returns but not a bad way to diversify.
How long you have been investing , interesting not a single default. My defaults are so high. even for A B C
About 4 years. I’ve had defaults in the past, so this probably just recent. I’ve been slowly moving off of lending club though and into peerstreet
“Had I invested those 45k in FAANG thats easy 100K”. That’s not the right way to look at it. Had you “invested” in bitcoin, that’s easy 400k
Well I mean just buy SPY or any good index
Lending club is definitely not worth the trouble. You’ll get 5-6% max.
What is another way to get 5+ % interest in a relatively safer way?

I’ve used lc in the past and had good returns 14%+. You might just be bad at picking borrowers.
