Spring '21 grad here who has been job hunting for about a year now. I sent out ~300 applications and made it to the onsite stage at the following companies: Google, Salesforce, Workday, Accenture, Cognizant, Databricks, Adobe, Paypal, Capital One, Quantcast, Credit Karma, Foursquare, Zazzle. I got rejected from all these companies and they were unable to provide any feedback, except that competition for entry level roles this year is really tough. What's weird is I have been practicing mock interviews for a long time and always receive positive feedback on my communication, algorithm, and coding skills. I've done 300LC so far and usually can solve problems optimally. So ask me anything about my experience, resume advice, or networking tips!
Fuck off lol
You did well in these interviews and didn’t get any one of them?! Well things are looking good for me then…
top 30 school, prior internships, multiple side projects, and referrals from alumni :)
You reached to onsite for many companies famous for asking hard questions (Google, databricks, ) So just try to learn from your mistakes , try to self analyze if you were able to solve all the questions, discuss with your friends if there is another way to solve those problems. Keep applying and practicing you only need to pass 1 interview :)
Dude stay positive! I have such a similar story to you. We'll land something eventually. Feel free to dm anytime
Dude I'm in the same boat but I graduate next year. Its kinda like squid game, DON'T GIVE UP. You are smart!
Keep going and good luck with your future interviews! Were there any onsites that surprised you in terms of difficulty or the type of questions asked?
For the onsites that asked DS&A questions they were pretty much LC medium level and nothing more difficult than that. Some onsites were more knowledge based (like what is Agile? what are the REST API request types?) and mostly questions about how you solved a technical problem in the past. So nothing too surprising but it's hard to judge how you performed since every interviewer is different in terms of what they expect.
Yeah totally agree with your last point. Judging your own interview performance is almost impossible. That's why I appreciate recruiters who are able to share the feedback post-interview.
How are you managing finances? Staying at home or racking up CC debt?
Shyt I give up
Just want to say keep your head up. You’ll find what’s for you eventually. Proud of you for all the effort!
