Does it do any good if I start my career with a foreign offer than choosing an offer in India? I have 2 offers currently 1. JP Morgan Chase & Co., UK (Scotland) 2. Intuit, India (Bangalore) JP Morgan Chase & Co. (Glasgow, Scotland, UK) ~ Role : SWE ~ 37K GBP base, 43K GBP ctc Intuit (Bangalore, India) ~ Role : SWE ~ 21 Lakhs base, 53 Lakhs ctc If UK, I was thinking to get more & better opportunities abroad than in India for switching later or even higher studies. Can someone help me decide which one should I choose? Please state the reason of choice in the comments.
43k is peanuts. I would negotiate that offer if you want to experience a new country.
I’m afraid I won’t be able to do that as I’ll be a SEP Program hire.
I have experienced in Scotland. Feel free to connect if you would like to know more or have conversation.
I have dm’ed you
If you want good work life balance, good scenic views, want to travel and explore the world and meet different people, go for JPMC Glasgow. If money is your top priority, take the Intuit offer. ~Coming from a SEP in Glasgow
Thanks for the insights
You will be overworked in jpmc glasgow. Work a couple of years for intuit india and then explore international opportunities.
Thank you. I’ll consider your suggestion.
I'd beg to differ because as a SEP, its literally 9 to 5. So not a lot of work. Almost every SEP logs off at 5.

43k GBP is ass in the UK and 53 LPA on joining is pretty epic. In fact 43k GDP is less than 53LPA in rupee terms, in purchasing power terms it will probably feel like less than a third.
Thanks!
