Has anyone (from Xandr or any company really) been laid off & used Lee Hecht Harrison services? Do they offer any like career coaching, LinkedIn headshots, resume rewrites, LinkedIn rewrites, etc? I imagine it’s very cookie cutter stuff and not personalized for the individual...#severance #layoff #negotiation On a related note, has anyone negotiated getting paid out for the career transition services in lieu of utilizing their services?
I have found LHH useful in the past, especially their weekly networking groups. They do a decent job explaining how to use LI and do work on your resume. That saying, I've seen people negotiate the money instead of the outplacement. Good luck.
They called me to say 80% of their job database is exclusive and not available on job search sites! They also don’t have a breakdown of how many of the jobs are senior/exec level vs entry level
Did it really helped ?? I got this offer from Microsoft last week after I was laid off. Please share your experiences
It's a waste of time. Lots of companies pay them so they can say they offer placement services to those they just laid off. Assuming you've updated your resume and LinkedIn, you are better off leetcoding, mock interviewing, then getting referrals and applying.
Agree. Waste of time. Don't use them and they can't charge back to the company (which is good because placement companies are useless)
