Hello all, I have been given an offer letter via affirma consulting to work at Microsoft. I am genuinely super excited despite the negative noise I hear about the company. I'm currently at a toxic, no name firm and I know this will give me great experience as a project manager/business manager. I am requesting some advice to kill it during my contract as I would like to become permanent full time at Microsoft or have solid experience to transition to a diff full time role. The contract is 18 months so I'd like to have impressed enough by month 12 that I'll have offers or that permanent role. It's been a solid 5 months of constant networking and asking for referrals and doing interview and getting "it was SO close but.." that I'm just so excited! Contract rate: 85k #tech #microsoft #newrole #newjob
Congrats 🎉, just be a fast learner and ask for advice when not sure
Thank you! I let them know I'd probably get annoying with how many questions I'll ask 🤣
Good to be excited. But last thing you'd want to do is to annoy ppl. Just take it as another job. Its just another company. Ask questions only after youve done your due diligence. All the best dude!! Congrats
do your work well and make others around you better
This is great! Thank you !
What's the role mate?
Business manager
If someone helps you, bring it up in meeting and give them credit where it's due. That is how relationships are formed
Pls tell your contracting rate.
