Biden won the state of Wisconsin by only 0.62% There was a poll by ABC/WashingtonPost the week before the election which had Trump down by 17%. Do you think this poll, and other similar polls which had Trump down by double digits, cost Trump wins in Wisconsin and other midwest states, ultimately costing him the election? Trump refers to such polls as "suppression polls". I agree because these polls likely discouraged Trump supporters from going to the polls. People do not want to spend the time and energy to go out and vote if they think their candidate is going to lose regardless. Considering the slim margins in so many battleground states, do you think polls cost Trump the election? https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1326519025552265216?s=21 #politics #election #trump #biden #polls
Trump lost for his incompetence and divisive policies. Not because of these polls
That could be true at that point in time and maybe people’s morality and ethics kicked in while voting? whatever you call them but the strategy of throwing shit everywhere and hoping that it sticks somewhere doesn’t always work
They need to find out why the polls were so off. My guess is that Trump supporters did not honestly answer the polls when asked. They only hurt themselves by doing that. Trump campaign would lose donations if he is falling behind in poll numbers. Another thing is, Trump can’t point to his losing poll numbers and claim there are irregularities in the voting if he loses. You were expected to lose and you did lose. 🤷♂️
Trump is the reason Trump lost.
People who listen to polls (or worse, don't vote because of them) are chumps. Just cast your ballot.
Even if they are, are they illegal or unethical?
Or do they just suck? Or do people simply lie?
It’s possible the polls disproportionately didn’t include the rural population in the state (that vastly voted red). Or Russian bots
That's taking a set of facts (polls appeared to get it wrong) and arbitrarily applying an impact with no proof whatsoever. Someone could say the polls had the exact opposite affect, demotivating dems and really motivating Republicans and THATS why the polls ended up being wrong, because it caused more republicans to vote than might have otherwise.

Yeah, I disagree, no one beats Democrats in complacency.....
This was far more effective in democratic primaries. In 2016 Bernie was much more ahead than Clinton before super Tuesday but suddenly the media said Clinton is set to win and that she's doing better (she wasn't) and that took away his momentum. They tried the same with Trump on 2016 and 2020, but Trump supporters are more passionate and don't believe the polls (as they shouldn't). It could have impacted people in the middle but I doubt it was too effective. The general vilification of Trump by the media is likely what cost him the election.
Young voters love Bernie but they don’t like to vote. Sometimes it seems that they’re rather participate in protests than in elections. That’s the reason, no rocket science.
While that's true, it's also true that he was winning states before the media took away his momentum. Media has always played a huge role in pushing candidates. Even this year, nobody liked Biden until after he won the primaries when all other candidates dropped out at the same time and endorsed him.
It cut both ways: maybe Many Democrats didn't vote thinking, Biden was anyway going to win. Remember Trump had more loyal following.
I would argue leftist anger/resentment towards Trump was equally as strong as the loyalty of Trump supporters. After the events of 2016, democrats would have been extra careful to not become complacent and repeat their mistake.
You can skip standing in the line if you think that your desired outcome is going to happen irrespective of your vote. Those behind in polls, have all the incentive to show up
