Hey guys, Have you been seeing delays in getting your receipt notices back from USCIS? My attorney filled for PERM in Nov 2020 but haven't received it yet. Anyone else in the same boat? Thanks #workvisa
Check with Olga tree first, did they shared you the tracking number or so? They messed one of my friends application and have to follow up to realize they didnt apply at all.
Checked...they said that they have filled for my PERM in Nov but haven't received receipt notice from USCIS. Also, they said that I can track the my case online once they receive the receipt of the filling. The tracking number will be mentioned on the receipt notice. I'm so confused.
PERM is filed with DOL, not USCIS. You won't get a receipt from USCIS for PERM.
Obtaining PERM should be fast. Obtain any tracking number from attorney for it.
I asked them...they said that I can track my case online but they need to get the receipt notice first. It's been 3.5 months, usual time is 4-6 weeks.
This PREM for which permit? H1B or I-140? Also who is the new employer?
Can anyone help me on the EB1 filing process. My attorney told me that they can file my PERM in EB1. So does that mean that they have filled for my i140 ? Or i140 will be filled later What I expect back from USCIS ( not sure about DOL as attorney mentioned USCIS)? Is it i797C? Or decision on my i140? When I get to my final action priority date ( which I can track in visa bulletin) ? I tried asking them but getting convoluted answers, confusing me even more.
You can get better answers at trackitt.com
You should be able to find all of this information with a simple google search - there are lots and lots of information on it out there. And no I140 cannot be filed until after PERM is approved. You can expect NOTHING back from USCIS, again as PERM is filed with DOL.
Perm goes to DOL.
It takes almost 7 months to process PERM: https://www.balglobal.com/bal-news/us-labor-department-posts-perm-prevailing-wage-processing-updates/ You should have received your receipt by now
Thanks for clarifying that. So it should be i140 in my case. Try to understand what I should get back from USCIS: Once my attorney filled a petition with USCIS for i140, does USCIS sends the decision on i140? Or Sends acknowledgement of receiving petition only and decision on i140 will follow after few months? Have Googled it but haven't found any concrete answers.have mailed my attorney but he's out on leave for a month hence thought of shouting for help here. Thanks again
Trump admin cut staffing aggressively and changed rules and process internally to hamper and delay legal immigrants as much as possible. Give the new admin time to get back things to normal. It’ll take years to fix the mess they created and they have more pressing priorities nowadays...
