How does this offer look for an L5 UX Designer at Amazon? Base Salary: $146,000 Year 1 Sign-on: $60,000 over 12 payments Year 2 Sign-on: $48,000 over 12 payments Restricted Stock Units: 45 Stock Vest: 5% on your one-year anniversary, 15% on your two-year anniversary, and 20% every 6 months thereafter until your 4-year anniversary. #ui/ux #design #interviews
What’s the vesting schedule? Could you compute the TC per year?
Vest: 5% on your one-year anniversary, 15% on your two-year anniversary, and 20% every 6 months thereafter until your 4-year anniversary Year 1 TC is roughly 220
What location? Seems low, especially the stock.
What’s your current level and TC at Apple
IC3 and about the same at 220K baking in stock appreciation from original grant. Not UX though more on the visual side.
This looks like my offer back in 2015 except for more stock since it was around $500/share then. Is this the going rate for today’s L5 UX?
Ask for more...for l5 upper range is 260 -270k..
For UX?
This is wrong. L5 UX is 173-222k L6 UX 242-326k
The upper band for L5 UX in Seattle is 222. I believe it’s higher in Bay Area and NYC I think. Take from that what you will.
That sounds right, there might be more wiggle room in stock and base. Just a little. Sign on is strong. Comparing against my offer UX L5 offer last year.
I was going to say this is really high…but all the other comments say otherwise. I’m currently an L5 UX designer II in Seattle making 125.8k base Got 40 stocks when I was hired (just got an additional 18 this year) And I’ll be 3 years at Amazon in July I’d say accept but damn maybe I’m the one being lowballed lol
But your stock also appreciated during the time making your total comp higher than what you signed up for. No?
Your base should be higher
@OP- are you negotiating or taking the offer?
Negotiating up the base for about 10k more. Haven’t heard from recruiter yet 👀
How many YOE do you have?
