Hi, I am currently working at Uber. L4 level. I am rated 4 : "growth needed" at year end review last week. My manager told me that he believes that I am a good engineer but he said that I need to work hard on a dedicated project for the next 1-2 months and prove myself. This is some coaching plan that he, HR and leadership will come up with. Is it PIP? If yes, are there any real chances that they will retain me if I work hard? My father-in-law passed away last year and I was working remotely for most year and there was gap from my end as well and some challenges from stakeholders as well due to which I couldn't deliver as per expectations. I need referrals for Data Engineer openings. I am up for Gurgaon/Bangalore/Remote in that order TC - 70 Lakhs YOE - 7.5 yrs Female #dataengineer #indiasalary #adobe #linkedin #google #microsoft #deshaw #expedia #womenintech
Dm for Microsoft with job ids
Sure. Thanks a lot for this :)
Better to search outside
Look outside while being on payroll. This is still a better situation than many who wake up one fine morning with all their office access revoked. Keep working on the tasks that manager assigns you but primary focus should be to get an external offer.
Thanks for the advice :) Do you happen to know any DE team in Oracle? I am looking for referrals as well
Don’t work at Oracle anymore and did not come across data engineer role there. I know for sure that there are available DE positions at Grab. I don’t work there either. Not sure if they would match your TC.
quick questions- Does Data Engineer salaries at Uber is equivalent to SWE salaries ? And does Data Engineer at Uber has SWE titles?

Sorry to hear that. It would be better if you start fresh and apply learnings from this job to the new place. DM for Google referral if you need it
