What does it mean for the on-demand industry?
30 days until it takes effect
Yes on prop 22!
You got it
Incorrect
I dare them to create law to make youtubers Google employees
🤣
🤣🤣
0% chance that they do this. They’ll shut down in CA first. As they should.
I almost want it to happen to see how shook the “anyone can code and replace Uber” crowd on Reddit will be when they realize their ride from SFO is utter shit again.
The part that confuses me is the arbitrary choice of Uber as the weekend hackathon app as opposed to something more low tech like Airbnb or DocuSign (neither of which I think are trivial but both should be easier than Uber)
Make blinders as part-time employees for Blind and pay them.
Blind owes us millions for the shtposts, trolling and TC updates, not to mention the weekly how does blind make money posts
On serious note, blind has made my bowel movements much smoother, both TC and YOE in posts are inversely proportional to mine so I literally shit! lol
The way I see it, both drivers and riders are customers using Lyft app. One person's goal is to make money and others trying to go places. And app users can't be company employees. If I sell something on Amazon, eBay, etsy, does that make me employee of those companies?
yes
It's a dynamic matching service and a payment management service, used by people with spare time and a car and people who want a ride somewhere.
By their logic, everyone who posts on Facebook or LinkedIn should be employees too
Man, there’s a lot of bad logic from tech folks. Maybe you should pipe down.
💯agree p@cm@n!
It means they will leave the state
True it's not like they've spent billions of $$ trying to get users
They should make Twitter influencers Twitter employees
Trump?

Isn’t prop 22 trying to give this choice to voters?
Yes this would be a moot case if prop 22 passes
