Someone I know has been driving for Uber full-time for the past two years or so. The person doesn’t seem keen to return to formal employment anytime soon claiming Uber pays well. We even had a conversation where he tried to make the argument that gig informal employment (plumbing, construction etc) pays as well or even better than corporate gigs. Of course he backtracked when I cornered him with the fact that it takes many years of experience for construction workers for example to even sniff $150k whereas a software engineer for example can crack such figures straight out of college. I’ve been trying to understand, how much do Uber drivers really make? Is this something that one can make a career in or was he just trying to console himself? Perhaps he thought I was judging him and therefore had to go on the defensive by bringing such things up unprompted. Do gig workers (Uber drivers, DoorDash drivers, grub hub etc) make a lot of money or they’re just struggling by? TC: 190k
Better than msft for sure I thik
A guy i know made 2k in a week. He showed it to me and this was his side gig. He’s been to almost every country in Europe and saving to go again this summer. He’s in mid 20 and i felt shit that day
Wild
They make around 60-70k. Some of them reach 100-110k. They almost don’t pay taxes on it. All of them wash money through corporations.

Any Indians Think Kashmir Should be Independent?
Your better of working at a gas station. Gone are the days of making big bucks from Uber,Lyft. Can you make good money ? Sure, you need to work day and night & on weekends too. Not to mention lack of benefits. These org's take a huge cut making it not worth the time.
Some comments say $100k+
