Uber L4 vs Snap L3, which one to choose?
I got offers from Uber L4 and Snap L3, both like sde2 level. Want to get some suggestions about these two companies nowadays to make my decision. Uber: base: 160k Stock: 350k over 4 years sign on: 25k annual cash bonus: target 23k stock annual refresh: around 50k Snap: base: 160k stock: 500k over 4 years, monthly annual stock refresher: 125k target no sign on Both tc are around 300k. Snap are all stock based though. Considering the stock market today, really not confident for any of them... Any thoughts for which one to choose? This is in seattle area. YOE: 4.5 #uber #snap
Straight toss up I think; Uber has bigger upside, but it’s a cultural dumpster fire and the future economic prospects are risky. Not sure how Snap hits a home run but it seems to no longer be losing money. Snap seems short term safer but if you’re feeling lucky IDK, Uber it up.
if snap vesting is still 10/20/30/40 then uber is clearly better
