"Prop. 22, the gig worker exemption for Uber and Lyft, is ruled unconstitutional" https://twitter.com/i/events/1428887645149483015?s=09 What is your outlook for Uber. It's crazy that people want to turn a gig into an actual job. Being an employee makes things alot more tricky for people that just want to make a quick buck and not worry about it.
Missing option. Uber will consolidate in a few major cities and end up like any other taxi company
So does this mean people can’t be an SAT tutor, or mow lawns, or babysit on the side for a quick buck? Those jobs were around before Uber and helped people. We can only have full time jobs??!? And then what about content creators - this is side income.
When Babysitting is a full time job in which $100B market cap companies employ thousands and take a big slice of the earnings, then yes it will apply. Until then, no.
It's pretty crazy. It's like me being an Employee on Airbnb because I rent out my spare room. I really don't get what the push is, if Uber goes Employee mode people will literally lose their jobs for real this time
