Uber compensation
Uber is making me an offer for sr product manager. Uber folks - please share what I can expect from the recruiter. Please share details on cash and equity. Online research on Glassdoor and Paysa tell me that I should push for at least $200k in cash and $200k in equity. I currently make $350k in cash ($160k) and equity.

since uber equity has lots of risk, you should ask for much more to make it worth the move. unless you like that job for many other reasons
I have heard the Uber just matches your existing salary and asks you to join based on high stock upside... do people really join Uber for the same salary they're currently making? I find that hard to believe

i wouldnt take that risk. there must be some multiplier that is proportional to the risk amount

I'm in Product management. For tpm at amazon are you being interviewed for Level 5 or level 6?
negotiate hard, Uber equity has risk
Definitely get as much equity as you can with all the recent uncertainty. Expect your yearly bonus refresh stock $$ to be tiny compared to initial offer, so make your signing equity count for the next 4 years.
What's your current base at amazon?
Base $160K and equity $190k
You should be able to beat both with the Uber offer, the band for salary can go higher than what you make. Equity should come in higher than what you currently have too, but keep in mind our yearly perf bonuses pay at 80% equity (vested over 36 months) and 20% cash. Make sure to negotiate a starring bonus too
