Can anyone at Uber comment on the overall culture of their design team? Does UX have a strong and equal seat at the table? Is UX able to make impact and is design respected? Is it overworked? Does the culture vary from Uber rider/driver to other areas like Eats?
Early impression they look very overworked + stressed
How does one get overworked from UI/UX design?
Over here wondering what kind of question ⬆️ is..
Hearing rumors of dark UX patterns from Uber, like requiring drivers to say they support Prop 22 so they can log onto the system and then the customer facing app tells riders to “support prop 22 like your driver does”. Any truth to this?

Strong designers and exciting projects but low morale and under resourced
Under staffed and toxic management
