Old news
Why ?
They value leadership over peons
Because it’s a temporary fix to a problem (Covid) that they don’t know how long will last. They wanted a more permanent solution. 🤷♂️
paywall, can u post the text or pastebin it?
This was posted on blind a long time ago. Uber employees already know their Executive Management is trash. Don’t need to rub it in anymore lol
Yep. I wasn’t there at the time but I’m pretty sure it became clear that management was trash the moment Barney opened his mouth. We’re STILL paying that guy.
They could've chosen a much better positioned 'tech' CEO. This guy was in charge of Expedia when Expedia basically didn't need any major restructuring. It just kept growing. Only now can you see the true ruthlessness. I really feel bad for the folks at Uber. He reportedly even sold his Expedia stocks and bought a ton of Uber stocks. His entire game is to make $$$$ in the interim instead of looking at the long term future of the company.
I’m still not sure why it’s bad. Almost everyone pushed some of their work in India/China. Uber is also doing the same.
