Can someone from Uber please tell me what is problem solving interview, is it different from system design? What are the expectations here ..are we expected to write code? #interview #uber
It's a coding interview where your coding skills will be checked (not data structure and algorithm skills)
Can you please tell if this be similar to leetcode question or something else ? Like design rate limiter / parking lot / concurrency question etc. I am not asking specific question but just asking the pattern to be LC or not , please tell.
The recruiter told me it would be 1 round coding, 1 sys design, 1 problem solving. So coding == problem solving?
I think problem solving is specific to ds/algo and coding round is machine coding round it can be lld.

Coding for a backend role is usually a debugging exercise and a straightforward coding question. Problem solving is a leetcode question that’s usually got an algorithm or data structure spin to it. Both are coding but have a different focus.
It’s a coding interview, not a system design. What team are you interviewing for?
Oh got it the recruiter told me it's a system design interview, they didn't tell me any team yet.
