If the goal of a business is to make money, than what’s worse, continuing operations because something might cause an interruption, or taking operations offline yourself and not only cutting off your revenue generation, but most likely pushing your users to a competitor?
“we got hacked but there’s money to be made!” is exactly what I imagine uber execs are thinking rn.
It’s called business continuity for a reason people!! A company that’s worth billions of dollars must have processes and well made plans in case something like this happens
It's not so simple. If they shut down the apps there will be a worldwide disruption of economy.
