The TC for a mid-experience regular dev in US will be $250K - $300K The TC for a rock star dev in India will be $100K - $120K. A 5-10 year exp dev in India will earn a TC close to $33K - $60K in FANG. The pay is far lower if the same candidate works for any Indian firm. And candidates will work for 10-12 hours and even on weekends without complaining. No requests to work-from-home, no complaints on pressure at home etc. But the things that work in favor of the valley is the ecosystem especially network, VCs, top-notch research, access to markets and universities.
@Microsoft I think you should check your facts, the salary in India is definitely lower than US but it is much more than what you have mentioned. Uber generally pays 60K-70K for 2-3 YOE L4.
