Uber promo from L5a to L5b
Considering joining and wondering if there is a big bump in base and stocks when getting from L5a to L5b. at Apple you grt regular stocks for the year + extra for the promo, same for salary. Is the same at Uber?

Forget promo to 5b unless you are exceptional
It is a difficult promo. You have to have the right projects and team, and show impact over time. No additional stock on promo, but your target for annual refresh increases for the cycle following the promo. Base goes up to the low end of the range for the new level.
What’s the median target refresh for 5b?
Currently unknown for 2019 cycle (pays out in March). Refreshes have not kept up with initial grants here in the past.
