Hi - Got a message from a Uber recruiter for this role. While I have done some ops work before I am a PM currently. I do like the role but wanted to check with those currently in this role or know about this role. What does day to day look like for this role ? Is it a good role for a PM with ops experience? Whats the compensation like in SF ? I have seen low salaries for ops managers so want to make sure it's not going to be a pay cut. Thanks,
Depends on the team but can be heavy on the analytical side of driver/courier/restaurant side of the business. The senior roles are more managerial though. So managing a team of ops managers... Comp in SF would be like 90–115k annual + 20k Target bonus (up to 2x depending on performance). Not sure on Rsu’s nowadays but it’s Eligible for yearly refresh
Also, not sure coming from PM role you would enjoy role honestly. It’s much more short term strategy. But if you’re up for that it’s a good role to grow in the Ops org.
Thanks. The base is really low. Unless the stock is really high, is not worth it for me
The stock won’t be PM worthy honestly. Why don’t you look into PM roles @ uber?
I did, haven't gotten interviews for that role yet.
Huge step down from PM in terms of responsibility

What is your TC today? Generally ops is a low paying role no matter what the recruiter says
