Uber: switch teams
I got an offer in some teams at Uber, pretty decent. However I'm not sure whether the job/team is the one I should be going for, and someone on blinds even said to run away from that team. How easy or hard to switch to a completely different team at Uber? Does it have an one year limit as in Google?

Yes, there is a 1 year limit on switching teams
It is 6 months now if the change doesnt involve change in location.
Don’t believe - I was in uber , I was forced to change teams 4 times in 2 months and got stuck with a bad manager and bad team who didn’t allow me to change more - had to go through 1 year of hell
You can switch before joining. I did it, although it was before I got a written offer.

Message the Uber names here to confirm team issues. Bad teams are more rare these days due to a much stronger HR culture. Consider strongly the data freshness of any bad reports. Wouldn't want a different team to lose good engineering leaders due to an unwarranted bad reputation.
