Hi, y'all. I am currently in the process of switching companies after burnout/disagreement with my current manager (long story, can switch teams but also want to explore new opportunities). I received verbal offers from Uber and Opendoor a week ago and finished Google, Two Sigma onsite this week. Haven't heard back from the latter two yet but I don't think there were major red flags about my interviews, but hey, I could be wrong. With that being said, I still have a shit load of interviews for the upcoming two weeks: Onsite - Duolingo, Robinhood, Twitter Phone Interview - Stripe, Instacart, HRT, Jane Street. I am trying to get as many interviews done as possible this week. But it's super exhaustive and will affect my work. so I've been considering withdrawing from some of them. I was planning to use Robinhood/Instacart/Stripe to compete against Uber/Opendoor because currently I am really interested in Uber's teams and opendoor's growth. HRT/Jane Street are really impressive companies that I felt I can learn quite a lot from (tbh not super confident about the interviews but sure can dream lol). I love Duolingo's mission and the product itself. So it goes down to Twitter that I've been considering trimming. The reasoning is that the team I am interviewing with uses Scala, which I have less of an interest in learning, and according to levels.fyi, the TC may not be able to compete against Uber at my level. Just wanna hear everyone's opinion on if I should withdraw from Twitter or any other firms on the list. YOE: 2 years 3 months Current TC: $275k (could be higher but stock's been unstable recently) Current offers: Haven't gotten the numbers from Uber yet but Opendoor has given $270k, pretty sure I can get more.
Congrats op! What team at uber btw?
Grocery vs Events Eats
Impressive. What level are you interviewing for?
Mostly L4 positions (some companies have different levels but generally the one between new grad and senior haha)
Can you take time off work instead? Maybe claim you got covid or the flu for a couple of days?
Yeah that’s the plan actually. Scheduled a ton of PTOs
Congrats! Could you share what sort of questions you had for the Two Sigma interview? I have mine coming up this week
I would wait and see on how many phone interview convert to onsite interviews first. Otherwise, I recommend trying to juggle them all as much as possible. Unless you are considering staying at FB still and/or worried about getting piped, I would recommend to stay upwind and juggle as many opportunities as you can.
Uber better place. Know many friends at Twitter, they are planning to quit in few months.
I have one roommate at Twitter and another at Uber so I can tell you they’re very diff places. Twitter is disorganized and chaos as shit. Uber is much more mature but still seem fast moving and fun. I interviewed but didn’t get it. I am sad about that because the team seemed really cool. Culture was surprisingly good and people seemed genuinely excited. Stock price has gone down though. Probably means good time to join though. Twitter on the other hand is like a slow sinking ship that once used to be the shit and never got it back. I wouldn’t touch that.
I can second this, everything about our company is decent to good except stock price
definitely uber
Would choose Twitter over Uber any day. Because of wlb, infra and tech stack.

Wow! Pretty impressive. How do you manage so many interviews with a full time work? I find it difficult to schedule another interview when I am interviewing with one company. Would really appreciate you reply Yoe 5 months TC 170k
I have actually been slacking off work due to it. The situation with my current manager (been with him since May) is getting quite bad so I've been prioritizing finding jobs. But also I didn't actually do quite as many preps. I initially wanted to use Uber/Opendoor as a practice to prep for other companies but ended up getting good teams/experience from both of them. So now I am cramming all of the interviews in two weeks using PTOs
