Where to apply for jobs
It’s almost been a year since I was laid off. I started interviewing in 2024 but no luck. I’m desperate. I will take any job. What’s a good way to find contract roles? I prefer in person. Any suggestions on Bay Area best companies to work for? I don’t need sponsorship. I have failed meta, amazon, DoorDash, axon, Nextdoor, Intuit Yoe 2yr 9months I have exp in typescript BE, I interview in Java. Last base: 125k #engineering #software #swe #jobhunt #interview
It’s been only three months, hang in there
Find the roles at the companies you want to work for, apply to them, search LinkedIn for “[company] recruiter” add them all with a message stating “I applied to [enter role here] and here are 3 reasons why I’m a great candidate (insert 3 bullet points of actual reasons you’re a great fit based of job description)” and do the recruiters job for them. Do this 30 times a day and someone will respond with “thanks, I forwarded your info to the right person” and go from there
