Hi Everyone, Gave Facebook interview few weeks back, this is the response i got from recruiter. "You sql was good, coding was ok, we had good conversations about product sense, they see good leadership skills, they liked you, but they were not sure you were interested in job" So the reason for rejection is they were not sure if i was interested. What does this mean, is this common? Where did i go wrong? Appericiate any insights.

Do you pilfer food from the office and take home?
Did you give the impression that the company will be making a mistake by not hiring you? Any rockstar vibes? Maybe it looked like you didn't value the products?
The lady who took ownership was rockstar herself, made faces on some of my answers. But i was respectful, but i did asked question about something she said which didnt made sense. Might have upset her, i guess we would never know. All other interviewers were super nice and helpful.
That sucks man. Some things are out of your control
Was this for a PM role? What job family? Based on my interactions with recruiting so far, they might be letting you down gently. I agree itโs not very straightforward
Not pm role, i dnt see point of letting down gently, straight forward answer would be more helpful and i think thats what this is.
In such cases they do see the overall approach before you start answering the question to ask you and your body language how you react and how excited you look for the opportunity with the company. This is not easy but I have seen many many people failing interview on not showing the excitement and also not using the right approach to the answer before getting to the answer.
Ao not showing the right approach would be rejection on technical bases, but recruiter was very specific on being passionate, not sure what i coukd have done more.
They tested SQL knowledge? Did you interview for DS role?
No, data engineer
I was told I may get SQL questions for my Solutions Engineer interview. What should I prep for? Saw nothing on Glassdoor, so Iโve been going through Data Engineer questions...
Not sure, i am a data engineer
What role did you interview for? Was this the data scientist role?
Data engineer
They didn't see enough enthusiasm as you were writing SQL :(.
Hmm...i thought must be response from owbership round. So this response was collective from all rounds?
