Hypocrisy of Indians
Hello All, Received an offer for AE at Tableau, Majors - General Commercial - Seattle. 270 OTE (50/50 split) No bonus/ RSUs YoE 11 My qstn is on base bay - The offer says annual base pay 135k and also mentions 64.9 $/hour with eligibility for overtime. It says you will be paid based on the hours you work! Does this mean I am expected to log a time sheet on a daily basis? Haven’t done that in a decade. Is that common in product sales companies? Thank you in advance! #salesforce #tableau #accountexecutive #compensation
Congrats! Yes, you have to log your hours but it works out because you get paid for working overtime. You don’t to do a time sheet daily. You can do it every 2 weeks. It’s due on the Sunday of pay week. Welcome to the Ohana
Thank you :)
I joined a few weeks back and had the same thoughts as you about hourly vs salary. But as the others have said, it’s pretty easy process to submit hours. They are cool with overtime. The only thing I was told. Don’t be submitting 20 hours of overtime and not show results lol
Thank you :)
Does the salary look okay?
Worked at a number of well-known tech/SaaS sales companies and have had to do this. It’s relatively common. My experience is managers don’t really care or look at them - everyone submits the same every number every two weeks (80 hr + 10 OT). The OT hours actually help you IMO
Thank you :)
