Unexpected outcome of interview (Rejection with No reason)
I recently had a very different experience. I gave an interview at Verizon and I really got a very positive feedback from my recruiter after had an interview with hiring manager. The very next day I got an email to update your work history and education records for background purpose and then after few days I got an email to upload covid vaccination record and it was mentioned 'Future Verizon Member' something like this. I was really happy that I made it. I was expecting an offer but then the recruiter said it was a technical glitch that you received the covid update and she scheduled another round of an interview with different hiring manager that I was not expecting and today I got a rejection update. I found this whole process really ambigous and inappropriate. Does anyone go through with same experience or I am the only one? It really shattered my morale and broke down myself. Relax sir/ma, it is just Verizon. Verizon isn't even tier 2 and you are this worried, use them as a practice interview
Probably Verizon is nothing for those who already in top tier companies. But it was a turning point for my career at this stage. I really wanted to avail this opportuntiy. Today I got rejection from 2 different companines however I was expecting offers from both. I am so down after seeing rejection email
Word of advice as you continue through the process, do not get emotionally involved in a company that you’re just interviewing for, until an offer hits your inbox then you have a decision to make. Prior to that think rationally about the process, the team, the culture and if it’s a fit for where you want to be. You can’t get swept up emotionally in a company during the interview process remember you are one of many a team or hiring manager talks to.
It took me 2 montha to moved to the final stage and honestly you get emotionally involved automatically when you see your results are in your favor. Today I got a rejection of 2 different companies and from both I was expecting offers. I am literally felt down. Because I really want to jump to a bigger slap and better environment.
This is what I am saying. You can give great interviews and still not land a job. There are some things that it can come down to more than can you answer the questions and perform well in the interview. You are up against others not just yourself. Just stay positive, you’ll make it happen. This is coming from someone whose been rejected plenty more times than I’ve got an offer. Keep positive, believe in your ability and it will happen. Just be yourself and you will land somewhere you want to be where the hiring manager believes you have what he needs. Don’t get discouraged!
You know why it did not happen because you deserve more and better opportunities. Stay positive you will land a job at much better company.
