Unfortunate DV incident
I was involved in an unfortunate DV incident with my wife having an argument, and my wife called on cops and got arrested a few months ago. My case was later "Declined to Prosecute " by the court as there is no substance in the case. My wife didn'tunderstandthe repercussions of calling copsand she is sorry too about it. I'm on my H1B and worried if my arrest record will impact my future H1B stamping. #workvisa #h1b #rfe

Innocent until proven guilty. You are innocent since you have not been convicted, anyone can level any charges on anybody... It means nothing until proven in the court of law.

Please don't come to the conclusion I beat my wife... we are having verbal argument and she didn't understand the repercussions of calling cops.. she is sorry for what happened too..

Declined to Prosecute could also mean your wife refused to cooperate.

"unfortunate", but it sounds like OP is the one committing DV. The only unfortunate part is your wife didn't continue to prosecute.
I mean, if all the husbands start filing DV for all the day-day wife tantrums, no court will be sufficient 😉

If you’re Indian you’ll probably have much more to worry about this when you go to India, chances are high that your wife/ex-wife might lodge a 498A complaint against you (among any other sections).
