And i feel so much better. Youtube is very addicting (i don’t do facebook or instagram and youtube is my only digital addiction) and i have been spending about 3 hr daily on it on my phone. I already have dry eye issue and staring at my small phone for that long is not great. Now that i have survived for a few days without youtube at my fingertip, a few changes in my life: - go to bed before 11 instead of past 1 - read more news - less distracted between tasks at work which used to be filled with short youtube clips before - my eyes are less stressed If you spend as much time as i used to, try deleting it for a few days
That's great, but reading more news is another negative.
Was going to say the same. Reading more news, aka doomscrolling, is also bad
Same with whatsapp, fb, insta
You should uninstall them
“read more news”. The news is one of MOST harmful things you can waste your time on. True journalism seems to no longer exist, it’s all just partisan pandering narrative-pushing clickbait.
I uninstalled Facebook & Instagram. Feels good. WhatsApp is next. .. slowly will get to it.
I don’t use WhatsApp, but what’s the issue with a chat app being on your phone (other than Facebook reading every message)? Seems no different then texting, but I could be missing something since I don’t use it. Why you getting rid of it next?
It's more than chat. It's images videos etc as forwards. Also in my case... (Gay , single , depressed and living alone) I get triggered by people posting something personal on their status. Also I have a huge issue with FB reading msgs. I hate that a$$ Tucker-burg
People who truly enjoy their weekdays and weekends don’t need social media to post and show off their network how “cool” they are. No one posts about sitting in front of their monitor on a Tuesday, but most post about having a pina colada on Sat. Everyone, for the most, are doing something fun on the Sat, but I don’t get why you would want to post every damn move just for momentary joy and small talk on IG, Fb. I would rather ask 2-3 friends of mine to join me and enjoy the moment on the weekend and live in the moment rather than “showing off” to the world. Just my 2 cents..
Attention is addicting. It also takes literally 1 minute to post to your insta story. So it’s not some huge commitment to share to social media
Next step- uninstall blind😃
Seriously, I am so addicted to Blind now.
I spent at least 5 hours on Blind this weekend. I should delete this app now 😅
Wow YouTube is my “high quality” app. Tutorials, news, etc. but I totally understand.
Yeah YouTube too is a problem
I have never heard of someone being addicted to ads. Cause thats what you get every 20s with that app.
I pay for premium. I think yt loss $ on me because i watch so much of their contents.
