Hi bros, My spouse is on H4 visa. We are trying to get my spouse enrolled in a university in the state of Washington for one year computer science masters. Please advice if you have any suggestions. Looking for a cheap Univ, which will give us three years opt, preferably near towns like Redmond, Bellevue. Thanks in advance. Tc: 150k Yoe: 2.5
University of Washington seems like the obvious choice
Might be difficult to get in š¢
If it's just for OPT then there are a ton of scam colleges throughout the country. Be cautious with Honeypots.
Why do you need OPT? Just apply for H4-Ead and then spouse can work anywhere
No I 140 yet š©
Ah okay. I'd say don't try to game the system in place. My friend went on a similar path and got rejected from lot of companies even after clearing interviews due to the fact university was among the blacklisted ones. You can enroll in the UW PMP program and wait for H4-Ead. Once your spouse get the work permit, start looking for job. Most of the companies will reimburse for education. I did something similar.
People like you should be sent to depths of hell.. studying for a visa and rigging systems.
Iām anyway going there wtf
UW has no 1 year programs. Only the professional program that can be done at your own pace but that doesnāt give visa status. Maybe try northeastern, Seattle campus. I heard thereās a few 1-day CPT colleges with Seattle campuses.
Thank you for this useful information!
UWash is real expensive TBH, I mean 50-60k min for a 2 year course especially STEM courses so you can try lesser expensive colleges but if they let you study remotely, which I doubt.
