University transfer

I have a big problem trying to help my sister-in-law, she is studying in Denver metropolitan university and she has to move out and come here to bay area. It’s kind of urgent that she needs to move out unfortunately. The problem is that her credit is not transferrable here to any school in bay area and i don’t know what we can do to help her out. Does anyone have an experience with this situation or similar? is there any sort of workaround to help her come here? Thanks a lot in advance!

From personal experience, if the move is temporary, she can see what classes she can still take online. Otherwise she’d have to start over or take a break. If starting over is the option, she could see about taking pre-reqs @ a community college in Cali that has a relationship with a college/university so the credits transfer so she can transfer in and get straight to her major coursework.

Appeal by comparing the syllabuses of each class she took to the classes she thinks it comparable to in whatever school the Bay Area she’s trying to go to. She will need to do a one on one with the school administrator which is pretty easy imo School administrator literally looks over and then confirms with their higher up and they give you credits as long as their is sufficient proof that all topics are covered. Or they just might administer a test for her to take to confirm she knows the material.

Also this, but it can be touch and go. Some school systems just straight up don’t take the credits, period. Texas didn’t even blink at my credits from the school I started at in Louisiana. Temper your expectations. In line with this comment tho, she can also see about testing out of classes.
