Unpaid time off [Asking for a friend]
My friend wants to see if they can take unpaid time off for 2 weeks at IBM. Is this a thing that will be looked down upon? Will it affect their professional career at IBM in a negative way? They're concerned about their manager not giving them good reviews and looking down upon them. #mentalhealth #ibm
Two weeks? Take it. Don’t overthink it. No one cares. Of this is a medical issue, you can take FMLA.
They are taking their paid time off right before that and I was wondering if it'll look bad of they're taking unpaid time off on top of that? Also are you at IBM?
Not at IBM. But 20+years experience. 10+ senior management. No decent company will penalize you for taking additional time off to take care of life.
