With the Broadcom acquisition I am wondering if its worth going ahead with this interview. VMware insiders any idea if "workspace one" org could be on the chopping block? Tc 🥜
Def not on the block
What makes you so sure?

Based of what we have heard so for, WS1 will be sold if not axed after acquisition. In leadership words “They will find new home for it”.
That’s not for sure yet … it is one of the options … and ws1 is a complex SKU … it has horizon vdi + access IdP + ws1 UEM … it’s difficult to unravel it not saying it won’t happen but it’s not so simple especially with $1b sub /SaaS revenue all that is public info
Want to say this. Our IDP is bad!
Do it
Avoid if possible.lot of uncertainty.
WS1 side will be ok in general it’s a very profitable product group … that’s the not problem … the problem is the uncertainty… if you are coming in… best to negotiate heavy with terms that won’t leave you hanging if there are cuts … I.e. more TC up front
Never say no to an Interview, consider free mock interview.
No problem in taking interviews but be prepared for some uncertainty in WS1
Definitely lots of uncertainty in coming 3-4 months. With that why would someone put his career in uncertainty/trouble. Avoid joining to Vmware at this moment unless you are absolutely in need.
just use it as a practice. As an offer placeholder.

I just jumped ship to MS because I lost any trust in the company and leadership with all this bcom stuff. If I might ask why not stay at MS and grind levels to rise tc?
