Which of the top tech companies have the best upward mobility? FAANG or any of the other top payers etc. I.e. I heard Meta is great for comp but awful for upward mobility? TC: 0 (sabbatical) YOE: 11
Meta is the best actually. Google and amazon are the worst.
I heard LinkedIn is good as well. How has your experience been?
LinkedIn isn’t great
Meta is the best. Google is the slowest.
You are going to be competing with a lot of very smart people in FAANG, let’s just put it at that
Meta best, Google slowest, Amazon worst
Meta is best because they have up or out culture where you need to hit l4 in 22 months and l5 in 35 iirc Google only has l4 terminal Amazon, it's hard to get to l6 (senior) Uber is close to Meta
Google is really slow, especially the higher you get.
Going beyond L5 at Google is much harder these days
Meta is unmatched, you can reach VP+ levels as an IC and not touch your promo case ever. You can report levels down, and business reason is there as long as you can ship stuff.
I thought meta was the best and Google the worst? Also, make it a poll
Done, though I wanted people to include non FAANG but still good companies . Whatever
