Hi all, Used to work at Cisco seven years ago and left to go to another position. Interviewing for a position with a Cisco subsidiary that is a really good fit. The recruiter was doing due diligence and said that Cisco lists me as “Terminated” in the system. He didn’t know if that was a verify vendor code though. I left of my own accord when a former colleague reached out about a position. There was no PIP and I wasn’t being fired/jump ship nor any expectation of it. My manager at the time said to let him know if anything changes with my new job (in regards to staying/joining back). Is this how it’s coded in the system when you leave? Or is something else happening? Let the recruiter know the same, but wanted to check if there were any Cisco hr employees with more insight. Thanks so much!
You should be listed as "terminated" in Cisco's system because you no longer work there. What is more important is if you are flagged as "not eligible for rehire" - Microsoft occasionally flags people that way. If that is the case, is your former manager still around? I suspect, however, you are just fine.
Sounds like the recruiter doesn’t know how to read the Workday system. Ask to speak to their supervisor or open a case with their HR 866-282-3866.

I have a similar issue. I left when I was on PIP but over a decade I have done good work and tried to get rehired at cisco. Do they flag everyone on PIP as ineligible for rehire ?

Ah yea, since it’s a subsidiary they can’t hire anyone from Cisco that was fired. I wasn’t but was curious if anyone inside Cisco knew if that is just how it flags departures or if something else was going on.
Oh, I know people who joined Cisco in a different team 6 months after getting fired. Maybe the rules r different for subsidiaries
